Brittney and her husband, Nathan, have been residents of Hampton Roads all of their lives. They share a son, Easton. Brittney aims to pass on to him the biblical principles of compassion, service, and faith that guide her own life, hoping he will someday inspire those around him to embrace Christ. While she is a stay-at-home mom by day, she works evenings at a local restaurant.

In 2023, Brittney established the MomCo chapter after her mother-in-law suggested she attend a meeting and she discovered there was no local chapter in southern Chesapeake.

After praying, she felt compelled to launch this initiative at her home church, Harvest VA. In addition, she contributes her musical talents to the worship team to help bring people closer to God.

She believes that by fostering fellowship, shared experiences, and mutual support, mothers can create a robust community that uplifts and encourages one another.

Brittney's dedication to connecting with others transcends the boundaries of the church; she arranges playdates, social events, and volunteer opportunities to establish a support network that touches every aspect of a mother's life.

Through MomCo, she aspires to unite mothers from diverse backgrounds and reassure them they are not alone in theirmotherhood journey.

Tara Wells is a Generation-X mom who has had the incredible blessing of experiencing Momco through many years, seasons, and variations of motherhood, including kinship foster parenting, adoption, and co-parenting grandchildren.

Tara and husband Ben have been married for 16 years. They have two adult children through prior kinship foster care: Kayla (Forever 25) and Dillon (21). They also have a 10-year-old son Alexander (“Alex”), and two grandchildren, Kaliyah (8) and Ares (5).

Originally from Virginia Beach, Tara moved to the Pocono Mountains in northeast
Pennsylvania in 2001, where she met her husband. They were married in 2008, grew their family in unexpected and unconventional ways, and moved to Virginia Beach in June of 2022 to live closer to their grandchildren.

Currently, they still live in Virginia Beach with their son Alex, their long-haired daschund Suzie, a baby beagle named Wynter Grace (aka “Gracie”), and their ball python Titano.

Currently a stay-at-home Mom/Mimi, Tara homeschools their 5 th grader. She is also the primary maternal influence in the lives of her grandchildren. In addition to assisting the Kidco Coordinator for Momco, Tara leads a Wednesday night “Kidz Club” program at Harvest.

Tara is passionate about children’s ministry. She also enjoys jigsaw puzzles, “herping” for reptiles, trial-watching, and watching football with husband.

Dana Cavallaro-  MentorCo Lead

Hello! It is an honor to serve Harvest MomCo as a Mentor. Being a part of MomCo is like coming home. Over 30 years ago, when my sons were babies, a friend and I started a MOPS group at our church. We watched it grow beyond our wildest imagination.

Later, I became the MOPS Council Coordinator for the Hampton Roads area. When my daughter-in-law decided to start a MomCo group at Harvest, I was delighted. Now I get to pour into young moms just as others poured into me. It is a blessing to love these precious women and their children.
Christal is a mom of three, former pastor's wife, former teacher and now creative business owner and homeschooler.
She does photography, design, marketing and video for her small business, so she is honored to serve on the leadership team- making sure the Harvest Mom Group looks welcoming and professional.

Hey there, I'm Samantha - mom extraordinaire to four rowdy boys ranging from teen to infant and one adorable preschool princess! I may be a stay-at-home mom, but I'm also the secret weapon behind my husband's business and the mastermind of our small church's kids' ministry. Juggling homeschooling, wifely duties, and holding the title of our family's heart as my husband fondly says, I'm a pro at coordinating chaos, corralling cats, and turning wild energy into exciting adventures.

In our home, we celebrate the small victories, like a toddler finally mastering the potty or a teenager acing their driving test. We cherish family game nights, spontaneous dance parties in the living room, and cozy story times that end with sleepy heads on pillows. Through it all, we lean on our faith to guide us, finding strength and comfort in prayer and the teachings of Jesus. I myself have always had a close connection with God, but in recent years my relationship with Jesus has really blossomed into something that brings joy to my heart. God always has my back, and I love Him for it.

As part of the Momco dream team, I'm here to bring the many years of experience I have raising my kids and caring for my family through hard times and fun times, and using that to help other moms as they learn and grow in their walks as moms and Christian women.

Leadership

My name is Cindy Taylor. I live with my sister. Though I do not have any children I spend time with my great nieces and nephews. I have been serving the Lord in children minister for over 45 years, and I am the Parent Care Assistant at Harvest. I excepted the Lord as my savior at the age of 12 and have grown closer to him every year. I choose to serve as the KidCo Lead because I saw this as a need at Harvest and I find it an honor to serve.
